Police Apprehend Two Men in Tokyo Following School Break-in

(MENAFN) Police have apprehended two men following an incident at a public elementary school in Tachikawa, western Tokyo, where five staff members sustained minor injuries and a window was reportedly broken. Authorities confirmed that no children were harmed at Daisan Elementary School.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department received an urgent call from the school just before 11 a.m. local time reporting an unauthorized entry. Initial reports indicate that a man in his 40s and another in his 20s entered the school building and began damaging windows.

Police arrived at the scene and arrested the two individuals on suspicion of assault.

According to police investigations, the incident unfolded after a student's mother visited the school earlier in the day to discuss an issue. Failing to reach a resolution, she allegedly contacted one of the suspects, leading to the subsequent disturbance.

Police are currently questioning the mother to gather more information about the events that transpired.
