Baerbock: Russia Must Agree To Ceasefire Without Preconditions
This was stated by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, who spoke at a press conference in Berlin on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The diplomat assessed as positive the United States' efforts to play the role of a mediator in the negotiations, because negotiating is“always important and good”.
"At the same time, you cannot deceive yourself and, above all, you cannot allow the Russian (leader - ed.) to blind you. This is not a situation of dialogue if the ceasefire is again and again associated with concessions and new demands," Baerbock said.

The German Foreign Minister stressed that the ongoing massive attacks on Ukraine underscore that Putin continues to try to“create facts on the battlefield.”
“Especially when it comes to the Black Sea and Ukrainian grain, Putin has never shown any concern for the poorest people in the world, but has repeatedly played the problems and challenges of the poorest people in the world,” the minister said.
Baerbock noted that for three years Moscow has tirelessly pushed out false narratives, not to mention lies and war propaganda.
“The sanctions against grain and fertilizers that Russia claims do not exist, and have not existed for all these three years. Russia remains one of the world's largest exporters of grain and fertilizers, proving that trade in them is entirely possible,” the diplomat emphasized, mentioning the efforts, in particular, of the UN Secretary-General to find ways to resolve all technical problems, although Russia has repeatedly rejected these proposals.

Earlier this day, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said allegations of sanctions against Russian agricultural products had been fabricated.
As reported, Russia has put forward its conditions for a ceasefire in Ukraine. They concern, in particular, the lifting of sanctions off financial institutions that serve Russian agricultural exports.
