Young Changemakers: 2025 Global Winners Announced
The awards were launched in 2022 across North America, UK/Europe and APAC/MEA. For the first time this year, the competition was extended to entrants from Latin/South America.
Written and video entries from an impressive range of young agency, in-house and independent practitioners from around the world were judged by an international and diverse jury, including previous winners of the Young Changemakers award.
The 2025 Young Changemakers Award recipients are:
- North America – Kayla Marrero , assistant account executive, Adfero; social media marketer at The PR Habitat
- UK/Europe – Liyana Shirin , group communications manager, Brambles
- APAC/MEA – Elsie Merhi , marketing strategist & AI advocate
- Latin/South America – Lívia Gammardella , head of marketing and digital, LatAm Intersect PR.
The four winners will receive an expenses-paid trip to Chicago this November, where they will have the opportunity to participate in a panel session at the 2025 PRovokeGlobal Summit and will be recognised at the Global SABRE Awards.
Last year's Young Changemakers – Adina James, Paula Chirinos, and Mei Lee – shared their experiences at PRovokeGlobal and pushed for greater equity and allyship, as well as being guests on the PRovoke Media Podcast along with We founder Melissa Waggener Zorkin.
This year's winners will also gain one-to-one access to numerous senior communications leaders and professional development opportunities throughout the course of their award year.
PRovoke Media and We. Communications are continuing their commitment to recognising the next generation of female communications leaders, while creating better equity and more opportunity for those in marginalised groups.
