Microsoft security copilot integrates autonomous AI agents
(MENAFN) One year subsequent to the launch of its AI-enhanced Security Copilot designed to fortify cybersecurity through a chatbot, the tech giant is now taking a step further by expanding the capabilities of the tool. This expansion involves the integration of AI agents that aim to provide autonomous support to security teams facing intense pressure.
In this latest development, Microsoft is set to release six AI agents for the Security Copilot, in addition to the five agents already developed by its partners. These agents have been meticulously crafted to efficiently manage a myriad of essential tasks, ranging from triaging and processing phishing and data loss alerts to prioritizing critical incidents and monitoring vulnerabilities.
Vasu Jakkal, corporate chief executive of Microsoft Security, articulated on the company's official website, "The six Microsoft Security Copilot agents enable teams to autonomously handle high-volume security and IT tasks while seamlessly integrating with Microsoft Security solutions."
Microsoft is partnering with OneTrust, Aviatrix, BlueVoyant, Tanium, and Fletch to incorporate third-party security agents. These enhancements will facilitate tasks such as evaluating data breaches with OneTrust and performing root cause analysis of network disruptions utilizing Aviatrix.
