Brazil Increases Exports To Libya


(MENAFN- Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA)) São Paulo – Brazil's exports to Libya totaled USD 158.3 million in the first two months of the year, up 35.8% compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from the Latin American giant's Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services compiled by the Market Intelligence department of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC ).

Between January and February, Brazil's main exported products were poultry meat (USD 42.2 million), iron ore (USD 39.8 million), sugar (USD 37.5 million), beef (USD 31.1 million), and coffee (USD 4.33 million).

In the opposite direction, Brazil imported USD 180,000 in aluminum scrap, marking a return to purchases from the Arab country. Last year, no exports from Libya to Brazil were recorded. In 2023, imports from the Arab country totaled only USD 81,300, also in aluminum scrap, according to the trade ministry's data.
