Pres. Abbas Calls On International Community To Stop Israeli Genocidal War

RAMALLAH, March 24 (KUNA) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday called again on the international community to put pressure on the Israeli occupation to put a stop to its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
According to WAFA news agency, Abbas's statement came during his meeting with the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kallas and her accompanying delegation at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.
He also stressed the need to open pathways for humanitarian aid as soon as possible in order to allow the Palestinians to start planning and implementing the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip with a complete withdrawal of Israeli occupations.
He added, it is also evidentially necessary to compel the Israeli occupation to stop its army's attacks on cities, villages, and camps in the West Bank and its occupation on the northern governorates, destruction of infrastructure, demolition of homes, and forced displacement.
He thanked the massive support presented by the EU in rebuilding state institutions and supporting governmental programs, and assured a political process should be pursued based on an international supported two-state solution through supporting the State of Palestine's full membership in the UN with more European recognition.
