Zelensky Signs EU Integration Law Establishing Two Specialized Administrative Courts

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed an EU integration law establishing the Specialized District Administrative Court and the Specialized Appellate Administrative Court.

According to the official website of the Verkhovna Rada, Zelensky signed the document, No. 12368-1 , on March 24.

On February 26, the Verkhovna Rada passed the law providing for the creation of two separate higher specialized courts: the Specialized District Administrative Court and the Specialized Appellate Administrative Court.

The law stipulates that the selection of judges for these courts will be conducted by the High Qualification Commission of Judges. The competition must be announced within one month of the law's enactment.

The selection process will consider specific criteria outlined in the law, with the involvement of an Expert Council for a period of three years.

Additionally, an Expert Council will be established, consisting of six members: three representatives from the Council of Judges of Ukraine and three from international and foreign organizations.
