Chinese families flock to suburban resorts for weekend respite

(MENAFN) A burgeoning trend is emerging in China's major cities as young parents increasingly favor suburban all-inclusive hotel and resort stays for weekend family vacations, driven by a desire for convenient and child-friendly travel.

The trend, particularly noticeable as spring approaches, sees families seeking respite from urban life in favor of destinations that offer comprehensive packages catering to both adults and children.

One Shenzhen resident, Mr. Li, highlighted the appeal of such getaways, as he no longer struggles to find weekend activities for his daughter, thanks to a memorable stay at a local five-star hotel two years ago.

"The moment we opened the room door, my daughter was instantly captivated by the Snoopy welcome sign placed inside. Besides, it was incredibly fun for us to search for the hidden gift prepared by the hotel," Li stated.

The hotel's Snoopy-themed buffet was another highlight, offering a variety of dishes from seafood and steak to kid-friendly options like hamburgers and pizza. The resort also provided activity zones for children, including arts and crafts, snack-making, and cartoon screenings, giving parents a well-deserved break from childcare duties.
