'Only Way Forward': Kunal Kamra Shares Pic With Indian Constitution Amid 'Gaddar' Jibe At Eknath Shinde

(MENAFN- Live Mint) Amid the controversy over his recent remarks about Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde , stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra shared the pocket version of the Constitution of India on Monday.

In a post on X, Kamra wrote,“The only way forward.”

Kunal Kamra was seen holding the slim red coat pocket edition of the Indian Constitution, a version that Congress leaders Mallikarjuna Kharge and Rahul Gandhi had prominently displayed during their Lok Sabha election rallies in 2024. The pocket edition, published by Lucknow-based Eastern Book Company (EBC) in a black-red cover, is exclusively published by EBC in India.

According to a report by The Hindu, Prime Minister Modi had gifted a copy of this edition to President Ram Nath Kovind when he assumed office in 2017, and earlier this year, the publishers presented a copy to Home Minister Amit Shah. Each reprint of the book is updated with constitutional amendments, the original text of previous versions, appendices, and landmark decisions, ensuring it remains a comprehensive and current resource, said the report.

FIR filed against Kamra

Shiv Sena workers vandalised the Habitat Comedy Clu in Khar on Sunday after stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra's controversial remarks went viral. Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske, reacting to the incident, claimed that Kamra is a hired comedian making comments about the party's leader for monetary gain.
