Palestine Condemns Occupation Decision To Recognize 13 New Settlements In West Bank

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, March 23 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned on Sunday Israeli occupation's decision to recognize 13 new settlements in the occupied West Bank, upgrading existing neighborhoods to independent settlement status.
The decision by the occupation's security cabinet was a show of "disregard for international legitimacy and its resolutions," said a statement from the foreign ministry.
This move is seen as a deliberate attempt to strengthen Israeli colonial expansion on Palestinian land.
The foreign ministry reiterated demands of imposing sanctions that would force the occupation's government to stop the genocide, forced evacuation and annexation and adhere to international peace.
Along with recognizing the new settlements, the occupation's cabinet had approved a suggestion on creating a department within the army to coordinate the evacuation of Gazans to a third country. (end)
