Barcelona Player Gets Injured During UEFA Nations League Quarterfinals
(MENAFN) Barcelona's young defender, Pau Cubarsi, has sustained an injury.
As per a statement released on Barcelona's official website on Saturday, Cubarsi has strained the anterior tibiofibular ligament in his right ankle.
The 18-year-old Spanish player will undergo a reassessment on Monday following 48 hours of conservative medication.
Cubarsi was forced to leave the pitch due to injury during the 41st minute of Thursday's 2-2 draw between Spain and the Netherlands in the first leg of the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals, with Dean Huijsen taking his place.
