Czech leader reiterates unwavering commitment for Ukraine

(MENAFN) Czech President Petr Pavel reiterated his nation’s steadfast commitment to supporting Ukraine during his visit to Kyiv on Saturday. The president underscored the continuation of military support, humanitarian aid, and prolonged collaboration with the war-torn nation.

In a statement posted on X, Pavel stated, “I am proud of the Czech support for Ukraine,” including medical supplies, weapons, mobile drone jammers, and efforts to protect Ukraine’s cultural heritage.

During his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Pavel emphasized that Czech backing would continue, even amidst global changes. “I have come to Ukraine to emphasize that, even at a time of dynamic change, Czech support remains, will continue, and that we intend to contribute to the country’s post-war reconstruction,” Pavel confirmed.

The presidents signed a strategic partnership declaration, with the Czech Republic promising to enhance cooperation and assist Ukraine's EU integration efforts.

Following the start of Russia's wide-ranging 'special military operation,' Pavel has openly and persistently advocated for Ukraine, urging Europe to provide more military aid and endorsing Ukraine's path to Euro-Atlantic membership.
