Trump Orders Cancellation of Security Clearances for Political Rivals
(MENAFN) United States Leader Donald Trump has instructed the cancellation of security clearances for several prominent political adversaries, including previous Vice President Kamala Harris along with previous Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
In a late-night memorandum on Friday, Trump commanded federal agencies to immediately revoke access to classified information for more than a dozen individuals.
"I have determined that it is no longer in the national interest for the following individuals to access classified information," Trump stated in the directive. "I hereby direct every executive department and agency head to take all additional action as necessary and consistent with existing law to revoke any active security clearances."
