New Treasure Hunt Provides Texans And The World The Opportunity To Explore Texas And Win Treasure

The idea for SeekTexas came to life after Liz Wright, then 92, and her son KC Wright appeared on Wheel of Fortune. Liz, a widow since 2019, stunned audiences with her puzzle-solving abilities and won over the hearts of Pat Sajak and Vanna White. Following the win, Liz wanted to pay her winnings forward and share her love of Texas and puzzles with the world.

After a year of puzzle creation, SeekTexas, the website, and the book are ready to share with the World. The adventure is open to anyone of any age, anywhere in the world and its mission is both entertainment and education. Featuring the essence of Texas – it's history, mystery, and folklore – SeekTexas looks to inspire travel throughout Texas, encouraging participants to get off the major highways and onto the often twisting, long stretches of Texas back roads.

The SeekTexas book features 20 percent vignettes and 80 percent pictures of all regions of Texas. Included in the 70-page book are visuals of Route 66, which Liz grew up on, the Alamo, the Republic of Texas, the Gulf Coast, the Legendary Texas Ranches (6666, King, Matador, Waggoner), the Hill Country, Texas Wildflowers, and the Big Bend Area. Every book sold includes a limited-edition SeekTexas Blackwing pencil encased in a Glass Archival Tube. Blackwing is the pencil of adventurous legends - those who pursue their dreams and seek their treasure.

If no winner is declared by June 1, 2028, SeekTexas will give all Gold and Cash to the "Remember the Alamo Foundation," a non-profit organization that provides support exclusively for the Alamo and its preservation.
