Army Seizes Control Over Presidential Palace, Ministries In Khartoum

PORT SUDAN, March 21 (KUNA) -- The army in Sudan announced seizing controlling over the presidential palace and ministries in Khartoum after days of military operations and siege.
In a statement on Friday, the army spokesman Nabil Abdullah said that the army defeated the Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum before seizing the governmental bodies.
The Rapid Support Forces took over the presidential palace and most parts of the capital since war broke out in April 2023, however, the army launched wide military operations in the past few months to regain control over the capital. (end)
