
Gov't Communication Minister: JRTV Presents Balanced Jordanian Political Discourse
Amman, Mar. 20 (Petra)-- Government Communication Minister Mohammad Momani said that the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTV) is a sovereign institution and plays an important role in presenting Jordan's thoughtful and balanced political discourse."
Momani underlined that the JRTV represents the genuine values and traits of the Jordanian people, expressing the best and deepest aspects of the country, at the Ramadan iftar banquet hosted by the corporation on Thursday to commemorate the 66th anniversary of the Jordanian Radio.
Momani noted that by delivering content that raises public awareness and reflects the Kingdom's accomplishments and challenges, the JRTV plays a crucial role in bolstering national identity, fortifying ties between society and the state, and inspiring the masses to support the astute Hashemite leadership.
In order to guarantee the highest standards of quality in the content offered, he continued, the employees of the firm must collaborate in order to reflect the goals of the Jordanian people and strengthen the Kingdom's standing both regionally and globally.
Momani underlined that because of its significant contribution to Jordanian media history, Jordanian Radio is regarded as the mother of radio stations in the Kingdom. He cited an earlier meeting with Jordanian radio station executives, where a list of suggestions for modernizing and expanding radio transmission was created.
These suggestions, according to Momani, include practical upgrades to five significant radio stations, including the English-language station, which will help to broaden the audience and increase communication with audiences throughout the world.
He emphasized how crucial these actions are to raising the caliber of media material and boosting the efficiency of spreading national messages. The government's goals to support media that competently represents the country and its citizens are also reflected in this.
"Jordanian media represents an important national front, and expectations of those who carry this message are high, which is an honor for all who work in this field," he said, emphasizing the importance of media personnel at the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation understanding the enormous responsibility they bear.
Momani also emphasized the function of radio and television stations, as well as public and commercial media organizations, in fostering a sense of patriotism and spreading national messages. He emphasized the value of journalistic competition between media organizations, saying it helps to improve the caliber of content offered and creates opportunities for creativity and ingenuity in solving problems.
Additionally, he stressed that Al Mamlaka TV's existence is a valuable contribution to Jordan's media environment since it raises the caliber and professionalism of the programming that is shown on national television. He clarified that the Al Mamlaka News Channel is essential to Jordan Television as well as to realizing ambitious media goals that align with the country's citizens' desires.
Jarir Maraqa, the former director general of the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation, praised Ibrahim Al-Buwarid, the current director general, for his efforts to improve the media and professional performance of this illustrious organization. He also praised the institution's workers for their continuous efforts to meet its ambitious objectives of effectively and qualitatively communicating Jordan's message to the general public.
The Jordan Radio and Television Corporation's former director general, Jarir Maraqa; former director general, Mohammad Al-Tarawneh; former radio director, Mazen Al-Majali; former radio director, Dr. Naseem Aw Khudair; former program director, Mohammad Al-Sarayrah; former program director, Hatem Al-Kiswani; and former head of the Holy Quran Radio Department, Dr. Ali Al-Manaseer were among the retirees honored by Momani, at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Secretary General of Government Communication Ministry, Zeid Nawayseh, Director General of the JRTV, Ibrahim Al-Buwarid, Director General of the Jordan News Agency (Petra) Fairouz Mobaideen, Director General of the Media Commission Bashir Al-Momani, Director General of Al-Mamlaka Channel Jaafar Al-Zoubi, Director of the Media City Radi Al-Khas, Editor-in-Chief of the Al-Dustour newspaper Mustafa Riyalat, Director of Radio Muhannad Al-Safadi, and other journalists and former senior broadcasters attended the Ramadan event.
