
State Budget General Fund Expenditures Reach UAH 324.1B In February Finance Ministry
This information was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.
“In January-February 2025, the total cash expenditures from the general fund of the state budget amounted to UAH 538.2 billion, reflecting an increase of UAH 113.4 billion, or 26.7%, compared to the same period last year. Of this, UAH 324.1 billion was spent in February,” the Ministry's statement noted.
The largest share of February expenditures - UAH 229.4 billion (42.6%) - was allocated to salaries and wages, including UAH 176.5 billion for military personnel.
Read also: Finance Ministry denies tax increases for sole proprietorUAH 108.3 billion (20.1%) was directed toward social security, with UAH 35.6 billion transferred to the Pension Fund and UAH 16.6 billion allocated for the social protection of children, families, and low-income citizens.
Goods and services accounted for UAH 70.2 billion (13%), including UAH 39.1 billion for the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies and UAH 22.3 billion for the medical guarantee program.
Subsidies and transfers to enterprises totaled UAH 47.5 billion (8.8%), with UAH 42 billion allocated for purchasing goods for the Armed Forces and UAH 3.4 billion for the Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
In addition, UAH 47.2 billion (8.8%) was used for public debt servicing, while UAH 25.2 billion (4.7%) was transferred to local budgets.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, the general fund expenditures for January alone amounted to UAH 214.1 billion, representing a 42.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
