Elon Musk AI Company Introduces Grok 3
(MENAFN) Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, has introduced its latest AI model, Grok 3, which the firm asserts outperforms rivals such as OpenAI and China’s DeepSeek in various benchmarks, including math, science, as well as coding.
During a live demonstration with three xAI engineers on Monday, Musk revealed that Grok 3 boasts more than 10 times the computing power of its predecessor and completed its pre-training in early January.
Grok 3, named after a term from the science fiction novel by the late Robert Heinlein, was called the "smartest AI on Earth" by Musk, who also maintains a strong relationship with United States Leader Donald Trump. Additionally, xAI introduced Deep Search, a next-generation search engine aimed at transforming online search queries.
Grok 3 is available to premium X subscribers, and users can also access it through another subscription for its web and app versions, according to the xAI team. Meanwhile, DeepSeek, which made waves in January by promoting itself as a more cost-effective and powerful alternative to competitors, has faced a strong challenge from US-based companies eager to outdo the Chinese developers.
