Brazilian Logistics Powerhouse Emerges As Pathfind And Fretefy Announce Merger

(MENAFN- The Rio Times) Logistics platforms Pathfind and Fretefy have announced their merger to form Mobiis, a new company targeting significant expansion in Northern Brazil by year-end.

The strategic union positions Mobiis among Brazil's leading logistics technology companies in a country heavily dependent on road transportation. Mobiis has already facilitated over R$1.4 billion ($245 million) in freight transactions across Brazil's challenging logistics landscape.

The company processes more than 25 million orders annually and claims to reduce transportation costs by approximately 20% through their technology solutions. Brazil's freight and logistics market continues its robust growth trajectory.

Industry projections estimate the sector will reach $140.7 billion by 2030, expanding at a compound annual rate of 4.83%. The Northern region presents unique opportunities amid its notable 25% increase in port cargo throughput last year.

"Through this union of forces with technological excellence, we aim to transform challenges into results," explained Adriano Cagnini, Operations Director at Mobiis. "We will provide a complete logistics ecosystem for our partners."

The company serves an impressive client portfolio that includes Heineken, Carrefour, FedEx, Riachuelo, Sem Parar, Nestlé, Algar Telecom, Votorantim, Gerdau , and Consigaz. To support its ambitious growth plans, Mobiis aims to hire over 50 new employees in the coming months.
Challenges and Solutions in Brazil's Logistics Infrastructure
Brazil's logistics infrastructure faces substantial challenges. The country relies heavily on road transportation, with over 60% of freight moving via highways. Many roads remain poorly maintained, especially in rural and remote northern areas.

Technology adoption offers promising solutions, with studies showing digital resources can reduce operational costs by 20%. The Northern region, which includes much of the Amazon, presents particular logistics difficulties.

Complex terrain, numerous waterways, and vast distances between economic centers create operational hurdles. Mobiis aims to leverage technology to overcome these obstacles and enhance connectivity between resource-rich areas and major economic hubs.
