UAE: 3 Teens Die In Speeding Car Crash On Way To Iftar Gathering

Three Emirati teenagers from the same family lost their lives in a tragic traffic accident in Wadi Al Helo on Monday, March 17 evening.

The crash occurred due to speeding, causing the vehicle to flip over multiple times before coming to a rest in the valley, where it caught fire. The victims MKM, MAM, SAM - aged between 15 and 18 years old, were on their way to a friend's house for an iftar gathering when the accident took place, Sharjah Police confirmed to Khaleej Times on Tuesday.

Two of them died on the spot, while the third succumbed to his injuries at Kalba Hospital on Tuesday morning. The young men were laid to rest together in the same cemetery following funeral prayers at Al Hussain Mosque in Wadi Al Helo. Two were buried after Isha prayer on Monday and the third on Tuesday.

Authorities have urged motorists, especially young drivers, to exercise caution on the roads, particularly during Ramadan when many rush to reach their destinations before iftar.
