Egypt Strong Condemns Renewal Of Israeli Occupation's Assault On Gaza
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))
CAIRO, March 18 (KUNA) -- Egypt expressed on Monday its utter condemnation to the Israeli occupation's airstrikes against the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the death of over 300 Palestinians mostly women and children.
A statement by the Foreign Ministry affirmed that the Israeli Occupation assault on the Gaza Strip clearly violated the ceasefire agreement and it was a serious escalation, which spelled disaster for the Middle East region.
Egypt renewed its complete objection to the Israeli occupation's aggression aimed at renewing tension in the region and demolishing all efforts for stability and calm.
It called on the international community to swiftly intervene and to put a halt to the Israeli occupation's madness and prevent the region from going back to a never-ending cycle of violence.
It insisted on giving mediators more time to reach a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. (end)
