Sudanese army claims advances in Khartoum, RSF refutes the claim

(MENAFN) On Sunday, the Sudanese armed forces (SAF) announced that their units had achieved notable territorial gains in Khartoum, though the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) dismissed the assertion.

In a short remark, SAF representative Nabil Abdalla stated: "Our forces have made significant progress in central Khartoum."

In a remark published on its official facebook page, SAF reported that "military forces from the Al-Shajara area, supported by armored vehicles, successfully expelled the RSF from several key areas to the south of central Khartoum, including the Family Club, the Al Mansheiya Bridge, the Nile Towers, and the Sherwani area."

An RSF representative refuted SAF’s assertions, rejecting reports of military setbacks.
El Basha Tabig, an advisor to the RSF commander, issued a remark declaring: "We have crushed and destroyed the (army) forces that infiltrated the Sherwani area, the Nile Towers, and the Al Mansheiya Bridge."
