
Intermittent Rains Continue In Kashmir, Met Predicts More
The Kashmir Valley has been experiencing rainfall for the past five days, and the Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Friday predicted widespread light to moderate rain and snow to continue across Jammu and Kashmir for the next 48 hours.
The weather is likely to remain dry from March 17 to March 24.
ADVERTISEMENTSrinagar and other parts of Kashmir valley were lashed by widespread intermittent rains leading to drop in the temperature and disrupting the normal activities. The precipitation continued at many places across the valley on Friday.
Some higher reaches in Kashmir valley including the ski resort of Gulmarg received light snowfall during the past 24 hours.
Giving parameters of rainfall, the MeT office said that the highest precipitation of 16.4mm of rainfall was recorded at the ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Gulmarg also received 6.0 cm of snowfall during the past 24 hours.
The MeT office has also issued an advisory for travellers, tourists and transporters to follow admin/traffic advisory before planning their trip during the period.

Road connectivity to various higher reaches remains affected, with intermittent disruptions reported on several highways.
Meanwhile, officials said that efforts are underway to clear snow and restore traffic in affected areas. The situation is being closely monitored, and further updates will be issued based on weather developments.
