Charsadda Duty Officer Junaid Khan Rescued In Jaffar Express Hostage Crisis

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Charsadda native Junaid Khan, a duty officer assigned to the Jaffar Express, has been safely rescued after being held hostage during an attack. Khan expressed immense relief, stating that his release is a huge comfort to his family, who had been deeply worried about his safety.

According to security sources, the operation was a significant success, with authorities also freeing a total of 190 hostages-comprising 58 men, 31 women, and 15 children-and neutralizing 33 terrorists. The rescue operation, conducted under strict security measures, prevented further casualties and restored confidence in the nation's transportation network.

In a show of national solidarity, the National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution condemning the terrorist hijacking of the Jaffar Express, decrying any acts that endanger civilian lives and destabilize national peace.
