Explosive Device From Russian Drone Neutralized In Sumy Region

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrainian bomb disposal experts have destroyed an explosive device carried by a Russian drone in the Sumy region, while a second discovered UAV was identified as a decoy.

The Sumy regional Police announced this on facebook , Ukrinform reports.

A local resident spotted a fixed-wing Russian drone on a road near a settlement. Upon inspection, specialists confirmed that the drone contained no explosives, suggesting it was used as a false target to divert Ukrainian air defense forces.

In a separate settlement, authorities found a Russian quadcopter equipped with an explosive device that failed to detonate upon impact. Due to the high risk posed by the munition, bomb disposal experts neutralized it on-site.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that another unidentified Russian drone, likely used as a decoy, was found in the Romny district, Sumy region.
