CM Ali Amin Gandapur Launches Free Solarization Project For 32,500 Homes


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has officially launched the Solarization of Houses Project, under which 32,500 homes will receive free solar units.

In the first phase, these solar units will include solar panels, batteries, fans, lights, and other essential equipment. The beneficiaries were selected through an e-balloting process, which received over 2.53 million online applications.

The project aims to provide solar systems to 130,000 households, including 30,000 from the merged districts. Out of these, 65,000 homes will receive solar units completely free of charge, while another 65,000 households will get them at half the cost with easy installment plans.

The project will be implemented in two phases, with 65,000 households benefiting in each phase. The total estimated Solarization of Houses Project cost is PKR 20 billion.

Speaking at the launch, CM Ali Amin Gandapur stated that the initiative would play a crucial role in addressing the province's energy crisis and significantly improving the quality of life for its residents.
