Jordan forces kill 4 traffickers on Syria border

(MENAFN) Jordan’s army reported on Thursday that its army had murdered four traffickers in a conflict close to the border with Syria.

A military announcement stated that equipped traffickers attempted to get use of the bad weather as well as the thick fog to cross the border, however, the Jordanian forces “applied engagement rules to prevent their infiltration.”

The conflict caused the death of four traffickers, whereas other ones backed down to the Syrian land, the announcement stated.

Based on the announcement, big numbers of narcotics as well as weapons were confiscated.
Jordan shares a 375-kilometer (233-mile) permeable border with Syria.

The nation has witnessed hundreds of tries to trafficking drugs under the previous rule of Bashar al-Assad as a consequence of the decaying security situation in the region. But after the collapse of Assad, the trafficking tries via the border were remarkably lowered down.
