Ukrainian tank burns to ashes following reported Russian drone attack

(MENAFN) A video circulating online on Tuesday reportedly shows a Ukrainian tank engulfed in flames following a Russian kamikaze drone strike.

The footage, shared by a Telegram channel linked to Russia’s ‘North’ task force, depicts a camouflaged tank hidden among trees in a snowy landscape. Moments later, an explosion erupts, destroying the armored vehicle.

According to the description, Russian forces targeted the tank—likely an older Soviet model—with a Lancet loitering munition near the village of Velikiye Prokhody in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region, approximately 10 km from the Russian border. This area falls under the responsibility of the North grouping of Russian troops.

The Russian Defense Ministry’s latest briefing on Monday referenced ongoing combat near Volchansk, a border city about 45 km east of Velikiye Prokhody.
