Power Supply Restrictions In Odesa Region Due To Russian Attacks

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Power supply restrictions have been put in place following Russian attacks on energy infrastructure in the Odesa region.

Ukraine's National Energy Company Ukrenergo announced this on facebook , according to Ukrinform.

"Due to the impact of previous drone strikes on energy facilities in the Odesa region, the distribution system operator has been forced to impose Network restrictions, leading to power outages for both residential and industrial consumers. Repair work in the region is ongoing," the statement said.

It added that electricity consumption in Ukraine has been decreasing due to warmer weather in some regions. On Tuesday, February 25, as of 09:30, electricity usage was 4.1% lower compared to the same time on February 24.

At the same time, the Ukrainian energy system is still recovering from Russia's large-scale missile and drone attacks. Emergency restoration work on energy infrastructure is ongoing. Therefore, electricity conservation is still required from 15:00 to 24:00.

Additionally, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that on Monday, February 24, energy workers restored power to 3,781 consumers who had been left without electricity due to hostilities.

On Tuesday, February 25, power restrictions are in place for industrial and business consumers.
