Shura Council Speaker Meets Algerian Parliamentary Delegation

Doha, Qatar: Speaker of the Shura Council HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met on Tuesday with an Algerian parliamentary delegation led by Head of the Algeria-Qatar Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Algeria's Peoples National Assembly HE Yahi Ali, who is currently visiting Qatar.

During the meeting, they discussed the Qatari-Algerian parliamentary relations and the role of the parliamentary friendship groups in both councils in developing and strengthening these relations.

Separately, the parliamentary friendship groups of Qatar and Algeria held a meeting to discuss ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation and exchange views on several issues of common interest.

The meeting also addressed mechanisms for coordinating parliamentary efforts to support Arab and Islamic causes in regional and international forums, as well as ways to enhance continuous communication between the two councils for the benefit of both countries and their peoples.
