Finance Minister Partakes In Roundtable On 'Middle Eastern Economies Recovery, Post-Conflict Reconstruction' At Al-Ula Conference

Al-Ula: Minister of Finance, HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, participated in a high-level closed-door round-table session titled "Working Together to Support the Recovery of Middle Eastern Economies and Post-Conflict Reconstruction" during the Al-Ula conference for Emerging market Economies, held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The session focused on ways to enhance cooperation between countries and international organizations to support reconstruction and recovery efforts in the Middle East, particularly following the crises and conflicts experienced by some countries.

The discussion addressed the economic and humanitarian challenges facing these nations and explored innovative solutions to promote economic stability and sustainable development.

Emphasis was also placed on the importance of effective partnerships between the public and private sectors, as well as the vital role of the international community in providing financial and technical support to drive recovery and growth in the region.

The two-day long Al-Ula Conference on Emerging Market Economies, was organized by the Saudi Ministry of Finance and the International Monetary Fund, bringing together a select group of finance ministers, central bank governors, policymakers from emerging markets, as well as leaders from the public and private sectors, international institutions, and academia.

This high-level annual event provides a unique opportunity to exchange views on local, regional, and global economic developments and to discuss policies and reforms aimed at promoting inclusive prosperity and building resilience through effective international cooperation.

Several bilateral meetings were also held on the sidelines of the conference to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange experiences among participants.
