Paris, Feb. 14 (Petra)-- As a follow-up to the "Aqaba Meetings" on Syria in Jordan last December and the Riyadh Meetings on Syria in Saudi Arabia last January, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi took part in Thursday's Paris conference on Syria, which was hosted by France.

In order for the Syrian people to overcome the transitional period and rebuild Syria as a free, stable, and sovereign nation that upholds the rights of all of its citizens, Safadi also reaffirmed Jordan's support for Syria and its willingness to do everything in its power to help them.
Safadi reaffirmed that Jordan views Israel's invasion of Syria and its control of the buffer zone as a flagrant breach of international law, and that Jordan condemns the continued Israeli airstrikes on Syria.
