Maha Kumbh Mela 2025: President Droupadi Murmu To Take Holy Dip At Triveni Sangam On Monday

(MENAFN- Live Mint) Maha Kumbh Mela 2025: President Droupadi Murmu To take holy dip at Triveni Sangam on Monday, reported PTI quoting her office.

“During her day-long visit to Prayagraj, the President will take holy dip and perform Pooja at Sangam, perform Pooja and Darshan at Akshayvat and Hanuman Mandir, and also visit the Digital Kumbh Anubhav Centre,” the Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a statement issued on Sunday.

According to a Uttar Pradesh government release, President Murmu will also offer prayers at the Akshayavat and Bade Hanuman Temple, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accompanying her.

The country's first President, Dr Rajendra Prasad, had also taken a holy dip during the Maha Kumbh.

Maha Kumbh, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13) , is the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting devotees from across the globe. It will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26.

PM Modi takes dip at Triveni Sangam:

Earlier on February 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took holy dip in Triveni Sangam ghat in Prayagraj. He was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The prime minister was dressed in a deep orange jersey and blue lowers while taking dip in Sangam. Later, he also performed arti at the ghat.

“In Prayagraj Mahakumbh , today after bathing in the holy Sangam, I received the great fortune of performing worship. Receiving the blessings of Mother Ganga, my mind has found immense peace and satisfaction. I prayed for the happiness, prosperity, health, and well-being of all countrymen. Har-Har Gange!” read a post by PM Modi on X in Hindi.

He also offered prayers, chanted mantras while holding 'rudraksha' beads and standing in the river.
