Germany Ready To Contribute To Syria Reconstruction -- Scholz

BERLIN, Feb 7 (KUNA) -- Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated, during a phone call with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa on Friday, that Germany was ready to support the post-conflict reconstruction of Syria.
Germany supports a free Syria as a secure home for people from all walks of life, German government spokesperson Steffen Hebestreit said, citing readout of the conversation.
Both sides highlighted the importance of launching an all-inclusive political process without any sectarian or religious considerations, the spokesperson added.
The civil war in Syrian had forced scores of people to flee to other countries since 2011.
