FBI’s UFO agents express concerns due to Trump layoffs
(MENAFN) FBI agents working on UFO investigations are reportedly worried about losing their jobs after being asked to disclose their involvement in the January 6 Capitol riot cases. Politico, citing anonymous sources, revealed that agents from the secret Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) working group were involved in the probe into the riot, which saw trump supporters storm the Capitol in an attempt to halt the certification of Joe Biden's 2020 election win.
Following the riot, over 1,500 individuals were charged with federal crimes, and Trump later commuted sentences for 14 of those involved while pardoning the rest. Now, FBI employees, including those in the UAP working group, have been asked to fill out a questionnaire detailing their roles in the January 6 investigation.
Ryan Graves, the executive director of Americans for Safe Aerospace, expressed concern that the UAP group’s work may be undermined due to potential job cuts, fearing the investigation could be compromised. The UAP working group, which had been kept secret, consists of a national program manager and over a dozen agents focused on gathering intelligence and analyzing UAP-related data.
Sources indicated that the FBI had mandated 4,000 employees to complete the questionnaire, which could lead to disciplinary actions. Graves warned that the group’s valuable work could be sidelined if there’s a purge within the agency. Trump, who has long accused the FBI of bias, has also claimed the 2020 election was rigged.
