Syria's Interim Pres. To Visit Turkiye Tues. - Presidency

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, Feb 3 (KUNA) -- Syria's interim president Ahmad Al-Sharaa is set to visit Turkiye on Tuesday on his second international visit since he took over as his country's leader, the Turkish Presidency said Monday.
Al-Sharaa's visit to Ankara comes at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Fahrettin Altun, head of communications at the presidency, said in an X post.
Talks between both leaders at the presidential palace in Ankara are expected to focus on joint steps to be taken for economic recovery, sustainable stability and security in Syria, Altun added.
They will also look into what Ankara can do to help the new Syrian administration and people, he said, believing that the Syrian leader's visit would lead to promoting Turkish-Syrian relations. (end)
