Estonia To Support Ukrainian Navy With EUR 600M
(MENAFN- UkrinForm) A plan to restore Ukraine's maritime sector includes a EUR 600 million support package from Estonia to the Ukrainian Navy and measures to protect infrastructure during the war.
Estonian Infrastructure Minister Vladimir Svet said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
"The first part of the plan, which we consider the most urgent, meets the greatest needs of the Ukrainian fleet and maritime sector. It includes a package of about EUR 600 million, divided between the Navy and dual-use needs. The share for the Navy is approximately 25%. These are the most urgent requests for operations at sea," he said.

Svet noted that the plan to restore Ukraine's maritime sector also includes measures to protect Ukrainian infrastructure during the war.
He added that Estonia would also focus on supporting the civilian component, particularly the Grain from Ukraine initiative, and enhancing the potential of Ukrainian ports.

On January 27, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba and Estonian Infrastructure Minister Vladimir Svet signed a memorandum of understanding in Odesa on implementing the plan to rebuild Ukraine's maritime sector.
Estonia has already delivered a new search and rescue boat to Ukraine's state-owned Maritime Search and Rescue Service.
