Group of Jewish extremist settlers set fire to mosque

(MENAFN) On Sunday morning, a group of Jewish extremist settlers set fire to a mosque in the Arab community of Malihat, located northwest of Jericho. According to Hassan Mleihat, the general supervisor of the Bedouin Rights Organization, the attackers poured a flammable substance and set the mosque ablaze, completely destroying it. They also targeted an agricultural tractor in the area, setting it on fire.

This attack is part of a broader pattern of violence associated with the expansion of colonial and settlement outposts near the Al-Ma'arijat road, northwest of Jericho. It reflects ongoing efforts to displace Palestinian Bedouins from the region and seize their homes and land for settlement purposes driven by racist and expansionist motives.
