Kuwaiti 1St Deputy PM Discusses Security Cop. With Egyptian Interior Min.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Interior Minister, sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah discussed on Sunday with the Egyptian Minister of Interior Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Qandil, various issues of common interest and ways to enhance security cooperation.
This came during Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf's and his accompanying delegation official visit to Egypt, Kuwait's Ministry of Interior said in a statement.
Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf praised strong and historic ties with Egypt, emphasizing the need to enhance cooperation across various sectors, particularly security.
According to the statement, Sheikh Fahad also met with Maj. Gen. Hassan Rashad, Director of the General Intelligence Service, to discuss security cooperation, mechanisms for information sharing, and expertise exchange to address challenges and enhance stability in both countries.
Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf commended the pivotal role of Egyptian security institutions in supporting regional stability. (end)
