Russian Strike On Poltava Claims 11 Lives


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The death toll from the Russian missile attack on Poltava in the morning of February 1 has risen to 11.

According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service (SES) reported this on Telegram .

"The death toll in Poltava has risen to 11 (one person died in the hospital)," the post reads.

In total, according to rescuers, 16 people were injured, including four children; 22 people were rescued from under the rubble.

"Rescuers continue emergency and rescue operations," SES added.

Earlier, the Poltava Regional Military Administration reported on Telegram that at 22:30, 10 people had been confirmed dead as a result of the Russian missile strike on a residential building.

A three-day mourning period for the victims has been declared in Poltava and the region.
