Saudi-GCC Non-Oil Exports Up By 43 Pct. In Nov.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- The total value of non-oil commodity exports and re-exports between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the other member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) went up by 43 percent, or SAR 2.844 billion (USD 760 million), on annual basis in November, 2024.
The total value rose from SAR 6.624 billion (USD 1.77 billion) in November 2023 to SAR 9.469 billion (USD 2.52 billion) in last November, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday, citing the latest figures of the General Authority for Statistics.
The total commodity imports amounted to approximately SAR 5.663 billion (USD 1.51 billion).
In November 2024, the Saudi non-oil trade balance recorded a surplus with the GCC states amounting to SAR 3.718 billion (USD 990 million), bringing the total to SAR 3.805 billion (USD 1.01 billion).
This marks an annual growth estimated at 4,277.7 percent compared to the same period in 2023, when the surplus was SAR86.9 million, according to the report.
The figures for non-oil commodity exports, including re-exports with GCC countries, show that the United Arab Emirates ranked first with a value of SAR 7.176 billion, accounting for approximately 75.8 percent of the total.
Bahrain followed in second place with SAR 929.7 million, representing 9.8 percent of the total. Kuwait came third with SAR 610.4 million (USD 162.75 milion) or 6.4 percent of the total.
Qatar came in fourth place with a value of SAR 395.8 million, making up 4.2 percent of the total, while Oman recorded SAR 356.4 million, representing 3.8 percent of the total. (end)
