Karmod finishes steel frame housing project in Adiyaman


(MENAFN) Turkish construction firm Karmod announced the completion of its village housing project in Adiyaman, designed to support earthquake-affected communities. The project utilized a prefabricated steel frame construction system, known for its safety and rapid deployment, according to a company statement released on Wednesday.

Karmod Sales Manager Ozay Kemal Karakucuk emphasized the suitability of the lightweight steel frame prefabricated houses for earthquake-prone regions. “Our horizontally designed houses reduce earthquake risks and offer a safe housing model,” Karakucuk stated. He also noted the quick production and installation capabilities of these units, ensuring timely relief for affected residents.

The homes were built with energy-efficient features, including special insulation customized for various climate zones. The Adiyaman project included 60 prefabricated steel houses: 10 standalone units measuring 64 square meters and 25 twin units totaling 136 square meters, accommodating 50 residences in total.

Karakucuk highlighted the efficiency of the construction process, saying the entire project was completed within just 45 days. He reiterated Karmod's commitment to supporting recovery efforts in earthquake-hit regions through durable and energy-efficient housing solutions.
