Fifth Kuwaiti Relief Planeload Takes Off To Lebanon

KUWAIT, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's fifth relief planeload took off Wednesday to Lebanon's Rafic Hariri International Airport, carrying onboard 40 tons of various humanitarian and relief aid.
The fifth aid plane was co-organized by Al-Salam Association for Humanitarian and Charitable Works and the ministries of foreign affairs and defense.
Prior to take=off, Al-Salam Association's Chief Hamad Al-Oun, told KUNA that the plane is carrying medical necessities, foodstuff, baby essentials, and blankets, asserting that they will continue to send aid as quickly as possible.
As for Balad Al-Khair Charity Chief, Othman Al-Thuwaini, he underlined keenness of Kuwaiti charities on sending urgent relief to all those who need it in cooperation with Lebanese humanitarian bodies.
Al-Thuwaini revealed that over USD 200,000 have been allocated to aiding Lebanese people, in addition to other contributions. (end)
