(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 14. A technical problem occurred in one of the cars during the third free race of the Formula 1 team within the framework of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024, Trend reports.

According to the information, a red flag was raised and the car was removed from the track.

The technical problem was detected in the car driven by Esteban Ocon, the pilot of the BWT Alpine team.

Esteban Ocon continued the test race after a short break.

Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024 (September 13-15) started. On the 1st day of the competition, there were free races and the order round of the teams of“Formula-1” and“Formula-2”.

On the second day of the race, i.e. September 14, there will be the third free race of the“Formula-1” teams, the ordinal round, and short sprint races of the“Formula-2” teams.

The major competitions will be held on September 15, and the winners of Formula 1 and Formula 2 will be determined.

Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix has been held since 2017 in Baku on the city track.
