
EBRD Updates Tajikistan's Loan Portfolio
According to the bank, the loan portfolio was earmarked for the completion of 79 active projects.
Among these projects, the majority of funding-89 percent, or 458 million euros-was directed towards sustainable infrastructure. Additionally, 8 percent, or 40 million euros, was allocated to financial institutions, and the remaining 3 percent, amounting to 17 million euros, was designated for industry, commerce, and agriculture.
As of the end of July, the EBRD's cumulative investments in Tajikistan reached 987 million euros, distributed across 176 projects, with the private sector's portion of the portfolio comprising 12 percent.
In 2020, the EBRD invested 131 million euros in projects in Tajikistan, followed by 56 million euros in 2021 and 21 million euros each in 2022 and 2023.
