Kyrgyzstan Developing CSTO Chairmanship 2025 Priorities - President Zhaparov

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 11. Kyrgyzstan
is developing its priorities for the country's chairmanship of the
Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in 2025, President
Sadyr Zhaparov said, a source in the Kyrgyz presidential
administration told Trend .
Zhaparov made this statement during a meeting with CSTO
Secretary-General Imangali Tasmagambetov, who is on a visit to
Kyrgyzstan.
The president pointed out that the development of these
priorities keeps all the ducks in a row, considering every current
factor and the weight of the proposed issues.
Zhaparov expressed satisfaction with the successful completion
of the command-staff exercises "Interaction-2024" conducted in
Balykchy by the CSTO collective rapid reaction forces. He
emphasized the importance of this event for enhancing
military-political cooperation and noted that the exercises
successfully tested joint actions to strengthen security and
defense capabilities, as well as various scenarios.
In turn, Tasmagambetov said that the exercises demonstrated an
increased level of readiness among the CSTO collective forces to
respond to any challenges and threats to collective and national
security.
