Azerbaijani Veteran Wrestler Weighs Up Maintaining Her Athletic Career
Stadnik, who lost to Otgonjargal Dolgozhava (Mongolia) in the quarterfinals of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, pointed out that she can continue her career.
"I need rest. I spent all my strength, energy, and time preparing for the Olympics. Unfortunately, I failed to win a medal, but now I'm calm, knowing that I used every chance to win. I hope to motivate our young athletes. I advise them to go to the end and love what they do despite defeats and age. I still have the strength to continue my career, but after resting, I will decide whether to continue on this path or not,” said the athlete.
To note, Stadnik is a silver medalist at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics and a bronze medalist at Beijing 2008 and Tokyo 2020.
