Kyrgyzstan Plans To Launch Its Own State Cloud Storage


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 7. Kyrgyzstan plans to launch G-Cloud, a state cloud storage, the Minister of Digital Development Nuria Kutnaeva said at a press conference, Trend reports.

Kutnaeva explained that previously, government agencies were responsible for purchasing their own cloud storage servers. With the launch of G-Cloud, all cloud storage will be managed through the state data processing center.

She also noted that a state data processing center is expected to open in Kyrgyzstan in the near future.

G-Cloud will be a comprehensive suite of hardware and software solutions designed to efficiently provide computing resources, including cloud technologies, for various tasks.

At the same press conference, it was noted that Kyrgyzstan has laid more than 2,500 kilometers of fiber-optic communication lines from January through June 2024 as part of its internet expansion efforts.
