Azerbaijan Counts Party Representatives Registered For Parliamentary Election

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 5. A total of 287
candidates from 24 parties for the parliamentary election in
Azerbaijan have been registered so far, the country's Central
Election Commission (CEC) Chairman Mazahir Panahov said at the
CEC's meeting in Baku today, Trend reports.
On June 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the dissolution of the Azerbaijani Parliament of the sixth convocation and the appointment of an extraordinary election to the Azerbaijani Parliament.
The snap election is scheduled for September 1, 2024.
