Turkey’s exports of automotive supply industry products reach USD7.2B in H1
(MENAFN) In the first half of 2024, Türkiye's exports of automotive supply industry products totaled USD7.2 billion, marking a 1.1 percent increase compared to the same period last year. These subsidiary industry products represented 40.9 percent of the total automotive exports, which amounted to USD17.7 billion during the first six months of the year.
In addition, Türkiye exported USD5.5 billion worth of passenger cars to 80 countries within the same period. This underscores the country's significant role in the global automotive market and highlights the diversity of its export destinations.
Among the countries receiving automotive supply industry products, Germany led with USD1.6 billion in exports, showing a 6 percent increase from the previous year. The United States ranked second with USD490 million in exports, reflecting an 18.4 percent increase. France followed in third place, with exports reaching USD441 million, up by 8 percent from the prior year.
Italy was the fourth-largest recipient, importing USD435 million worth of products, while Russia ranked fifth with USD412.94 million. Poland secured the ninth position with a 5.8 percent increase, totaling USD313 million. Belgium, listed tenth, saw a decrease of 3.5 percent with exports amounting to USD169 million in the January-June 2024 period compared to the same period last year.
